Kivik is known for its many apple orchards, the
first established in the 19th century. With horticulture entrepreneurs, other trees were introduced as
well; today, several large walnut trees and sweet
chestnut trees grow in gardens and in public
spaces in the area. In the future, Kivik and Southern Sweden might be known for these nut trees as
well, as they have started regenerating naturally.
